Internship Overview:
Digital works to optimize media for all social platforms and help build buzz around new season launches, while maintaining the presence of our shows online. They draft editorial content, handle creation for our web and mobile applications and engage fans in the digital space. In addition, they create photo and video assets such as GIFS, infographics, memes and more. They also report insights via various social media analytical tools (e.g. Audience Insights, Twitter Analytics) which are key in gathering data. Digital also includes, but is not limited to: social strategy, web/mobile, social experiences & video production.

Overall this department helps drive brand value, manages channel priorities, meets distribution opportunities, increases revenue and considers cross channel goals.

Finance supports the company’s overall financial goals and delivers best-in-class effective solutions in support of Viacom’s objectives. These teams assist with preparation and tracking of annual budgets and assist in preparation of programming return on investments. They also provide financial support and guidance for operational decisions and align with stakeholders while connecting Viacom brands around the world to support high-quality content with the best partners.
More specifically, the Production Finance team supports the programming, development, and HQ TV expenses across Viacom's portfolio of brands. The team works closely with the Business teams to manage and forecast for their respective groups.

As a Communications/Public Relations intern you will help communicate the company's strategic vision both externally and internally; and generate awareness of the channel, driving tune-in to our programming and enhancing the image of our brands through media outreach. You will connect with our audiences by telling compelling, consistent and profound stories that ultimately build brand advocacy.
As a Creative Development intern you will support the team with the creation of digital and linear projects from initial pitch to premiere. As a Marketing intern, you will communicate the value of each network to viewers and the cable communities. You will play an integral role in building and engaging customers, strategies, and campaigns. There are various areas within Marketing that contribute to the overall impact of the networks' message. These areas include Brand, Consumer, Digital/Social Media, Integrated and Partner Marketing.
As a Research intern you will help analyze and disseminate for TV ratings, digital/social or consumer insights (i.e. consumer trends, attitudes and behaviors) to various teams throughout the company, including Programming, Production & Development, Marketing and Press departments. These teams use focus groups, surveys and other tools to provide qualitative and quantitative support in order to develop an understanding of each network's target audience.

Music & Media Licensing negotiates costs and secures rights for music and other media used in programming. They research and review copyright ownership information, draft and prepare music licensing contracts for execution and analyze programming rights information for internal and external clients. There are 4 main areas of workflow within Music & Media Licensing: Licensing, Clip & Still Licensing Strategy, Music Strategy and Operations.

Paramount Pictures offers an exciting Internship Program with the goal of identifying, developing, and retaining top talent! Students from diverse backgrounds will gain hands–on experience working in the entertainment industry. At Paramount, every intern has the opportunity to network with industry professionals, attend a multitude of events developed to expand their entertainment knowledge, and play an integral role in their department’s success.
*Please note: we have limited internships available for our spring internship program. The Finance and Accounting departments primarily hire Undergrads, though some departments may hire Master's students.
Internship Overview:
Finance and Accounting teams at Paramount support the company’s overall financial goals and deliver best-in-class effective solutions in support of company objectives. These teams assist with preparation and tracking of annual budgets and assist in preparation of programming return on investments. The areas and departments with internship opportunities for Spring 2020 may include the following areas:
- Motion Picture Planning
- Development Finance
- Residuals
- Marketing Finance
- WWTV Reporting
